Orange sorbet ice cream

Requirements

  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 400 ml fresh orange juice
  • 1 lime
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 90 ml Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • 8 mint leaves

Preparation

Boil the water with the sugar and let it reduce slightly. Squeeze the lime and oranges and add the juice of the lime, the oranges, the white wine and the Cointreau to the sugar water. Cook briefly until the alcohol has evaporated. Add the finely chopped mint and leave to infuse for 14 minutes. Strain, leave to cool and prepare in an ice cream maker. No icemaker? Pour the mixture into a container and place in the freezer. Stir well on a regular basis.
