  • Olive oil
  • Pepper and (coarse) salt

Preparation

Hmmm chips. A tasty, but also unhealthy snack. But it doesn't always have to be unhealthy! Easily make your own crisps with the food dehydrator. A lot healthier and just as tasty!

Set the food dehydrator to 55 degrees. Wash the potato and parsnip well; there is no need to peel either. Cut the potato and parsnip into super-thin slices about 10 mm thick. You can use a peeler or mandolin for this. Pat the potato and parsnip slices dry with kitchen paper. Brush the slices very thinly with olive oil and sprinkle some salt and possibly pepper over the slices. Also cut the banana into thin slices (1 cm) and sprinkle with lemon juice and coconut flakes. Place the slices on separate drying racks. Stack the racks and dry the potato and parsnip slices for about 8 hours and the banana for about 12 hours or until completely dry.
