Requirements

  • 1.5 kg pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark brown caster sugar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  • A thumb of ginger, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, chopped
  • For garnish: toasted sesame seeds, chopped spring onions and finely ground coriander.

Preparation

1. Select the saute function and set the time to 15 minutes. Allow to preheat.

2. Add 1 tbsp. vegetable oil and start to fry the ribs, doing this in small portions so add more oil if necessary.

3. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl.

4. When all the ribs are browned, wipe out the inner pan with kitchen paper to remove excess oil.

5. Return the ribs and sauce to the bowl and stir well.

6. Put the lid on and close. Select the meat/stew function and set the time for 15 minutes. Once the appliance has finished cooking, leave it to cool for 10 minutes. Then gently release the pressure in the appliance before opening.

7. Carefully take out the ribs and place them in a heated serving dish, select the browning/sauteing function and allow the sauce to bubble up and reduce slightly, to thicken the sauce.

8. Garnish with the above serving suggestions and enjoy!
